With the ability to keep track of routes in your workshop you will find you can make powerful smart sets to get accurate information about jobs and their routes.
The below you will find 2 examples for creating a smart sets based on when a route is due.
From the BusinessMind home page click on the Workshop link.
Under the View Jobs section click the New SmartSet Query option.
This will display the smart set creation area. Here you can Name your smart set and select any column information you want displayed. For this example I have selected Route, Route Start, Route Due, and Route Tech
Depending on the information you are looking for you can search any of these route fields or any combination of them. It is important to note that your results will always be for the current route
For this first example I am going to search for jobs that have a route due date coming up.
Select Route Due from the search drop down menu, is after, and select the current date. To make sure your searching jobs that are still in progress click the plus button and set this criteria, Concluded, is, false
You can click the Test Rules button to test your results or simply click the Save Smart Set button to save it.
The results of this smart set will be any in progress jobs that have a Route Due date after the date you selected.
For my second example I am going to search for jobs that have a route due date thats past today so it is past due. So again the search is very similar but instead of is after I have selected is before Route.
Select Route Due from the search drop down menu, is before, and select the current date. To make sure your searching jobs that are still in progress click the plus button and set this criteria, Concluded, is, false
You can click the Test Rules button to test your results or simply click the Save Smart Set button to save it.
The results of this smart set will be any in progress jobs that have a Route Due date before the date you selected.
These are just two examples but you can run many searches based on routes. Check out this link as it has a few more different examples.
