To receive items from the workshop (a job or trade in) into inventory follow the direction below.
NOTE: These instructions are for users running 6.3.+ and used when assembling/manufacturing items. These instructions assume you have created jobs with materials and routing or have a Trade-In job and that the job has had a final route applied.
First you will want to make sure the model (style) for the item you are adding is existing in BusinessMind. This could be done before or after the job is created. Information on how to add a model (style) can be found here. Once the model has been created you can now receive the item from the workshop into inventory. (if the model does not exist you wont be able to complete this process)
Click on the plus icon from the Inventory home page and select Receive Inventory from Workshop OR Click on Inventory link from the BusinessMind home page.
Then click the Receive from Workshop link under the Receiving Resources section of the inventory home page.
Enter a Receiving Ref Id in the provided field then click over to the Job field and begin typing the job number of the job you are receiving into inventory. As you type the system will refine the search. Select the job number to continue by clicking on it.
Now click into the model field and begin typing the model number of the item you are receiving into inventory. Again as you type the system will refine the search. Select the model to continue by clicking on it. If your model does not exist you must create it first to continue. Info on how to create a new model can be found here.
Now you may fill out any other info you may require like qty, pricing, and description info ect...
When ready click the save icon which will receive the sku into inventory.
To continue adding more items to this Receiving Ref Id simply repeat the steps.
Any SKU received into inventory from the workshop will have a link to the original job number it was received from. You can find this link from the SKU's detail view.
Clicking on this link will transport you over to the job where you can see all materials and routes that were used to create the SKU.
