Let us begin by breaking down the job detail view and the actions available in each area.

Main Job Details

  • In the upper section of the job you can find the details of the job.  Job Number, barcode, job date, and customer.  These fields are not modifiable and are set during the job creation.

  • The tracking drop down is modifiable and is generally used as the type of job. The job brief is a brief one line description of the job where the job specification is a more detailed explanation of the job. These fields are set when you create the job but are also modifiable from the job detail view. In addition you also have a modifiable notes field.

Menu Icons

  • The pdf icon offers two print options.

  • The Job Data Sheet option will display a pdf which can be printed then folded and inserted into your job bag. An example of this printout is below.

  • The job receipt is a reprint of the job receipt if you need for you or your clients records.

Additional Job Info

  • The price and tax info can be modified directly from the job detail view if needed.

  • The expected total cost will auto populate based on the various materials and routes you add to the job.

  • The Due Date and Client Notification methods can be modified here.

  • Clicking the Send Notification button will open a prompt to send your client info that the job is concluded and ready for pick up.

Job Materials
In this section you can add materials needed to the job.  The sum of the cost of these materials will populate into the expected total cost field.

  • Click into the Add Materials field and begin typing to search and select the materials you would like to add.

  • Each material added will populate the materials section of the job.  These materials are first listed with a qty of zero. After adding materials be sure to save the job to save your changes.

  • Now that the materials are listed on the job you can set the Provisioned Qty for these.  Before we go further let us define what a provisioned qty is.  A provisioned qty is the qty you added to the job that is not yet consumed.  This means at any point you can restock some or all of that provisioned qty.  For example: if my jeweler requires solder for the project but I do not have an exact qty.  I can provision a certain amount.

  • When the job returns to me I can consume the qty the jeweler utilized and restock the unused remaining qty.  Again remeber to utilize the save icon to save any changes you apply.

Job Routing

In this section you can track your job through the various routes it may take.  In addition you can accumulate route costs which will also be calculated into the Expected Total Cost.

  • Click the Add Route button to create a route.

  • Fill in the label and work notes area with the information.  Click in the technician field and begin to type, this will start a search of your contacts where you can choose the technician.  The route start date will always be the date / time the route was created.  You can set a desired end date if needed.  Add your cost and save via the save icon to create your route.

  • When a job has completed its route and is now moving to a new route simple open the job and click the add route button.  This will end the previous route with the current date / time information. A new route will be created where you again can fill out the necessary information.  As always click the save icon to save your changes.

  • When the job has concluded all its routes it is time to add the final route.  Clicking the  Add Final Route button will prompt you to conclude the job.  A concluded job is a job that is ready for pickup or ready to be received into inventory.  This is a necessary step to the conclusion of a job.

  • When a job is concluded you no longer can add or remove materials nor can you add more routes.  If you need to un-conclude a job you can remove the final route by clicking the X icon and saving the job.  At that point you may modify materials and routes again if needed.

  • Once the job is concluded it is now ready to be picked up by your client or received into inventory (depending on the type of job you were working on).  When a job is picked up or received into inventory the Final Job details will update.
