The new POS allows you to create discount rules which you can use to discount items.
Click on the Point of Sale icon to open the new pos
From the new POS click on the action bar icon to open more options.
Click on the Discounts section in the tool tray.
Click the plus button to create a new discount.
Here you can name your discount, set the discount amount by either dollar or percentage. You can even set a time frame that you want this discount to be active. If needed you can even include a passcode required to apply the discount.
When ready click the check button to save.
You can return to the POS by clicking the Checkout button.
When selling an item from the POS you can use the Apply DIscount link to select and apply your discount.
