This article will describe how to sell an item from the point of sale.
From the point of sale interface click on the Customer button.
Search for the customer you wish to process the sale for. Press the enter/return key on your keyboard to run your search and display your customers.
From your search results, select the customer you are processing the transaction for. This will display the customer card. Click the plus icon to choose this customer.
To add items to the transaction you can either utilize the Scan button or the Stock button.
Clicking the Scan button will initialize the barcode scan listener. When this is active simply scan the items you want to add to the transaction and they will be added.
Clicking the stock button will bring up a manual search. Here you can search for items to add to the transaction. Type your search and press the return/enter key on your keyboard to run your search.
Click the plus button to add the item to the transaction.
Click the Charge button to bring up the payment processor.
Utilize one of the Payment methods to complete the tranasaction. After this you will be presented with the receipt delivery area where you can choose your receipt delivery method.
Your sale is now completed.
You can choose to make a new sale which will reload the pos window or you can let the system log you out. If you are logged out you will be returned to the login screen. From here you will see a drop down menu icon next to the username field. This will allow you to easily select a username to log into BusinessMind with. If you do not see this drop down option on your log in screen you can enable it with the instructions here about simple log in.
