Why do I see invoices that start with LDT and why do I get an error when I click one.

The legacy version of BusinessMind had a tool that allowed you to transfer funds between layaway, job, and the ar balance accounts for a client.  When this tool was utilized BusinessMind needed to create a transfer record for those funds.
This was not noticeable in legacy businessmind because legacy businessmind only had a sale line item view which only displays sale line items.  This means these Legacy Deposit Transfer records or LDT's records were generally not seen even though the existed in the legacy system.

As you have noticed BusinessMind now has an Invoice view as an addition to the sale line item view.  This invoice view is new to BusinessMind as it was not available in the legacy system.  These Legacy Deposit Transfer records or LDT's, are visible from the invoice view.  This being said they are not a physical invoice, they are a transfer of funds record.  This is why clicking on them results in an error as they do not have a detail view.

As you add more sales you will move away from these legacy records and they will be less noticeable in your views.  Of course if you are creating a smart set you can easily have your smart set exclude these records by adding this simple search to your smart set.
