The BusinessMind contact linking feature allows you to easily create and manage relations between your contacts. Related contacts will also display when searched from the POS making it even easier to select the contact and start your sale.

There are many benefits of utilizing contact linking for related contacts:

  1. Keep couples/families/friends/referrals/etc linked together so it is clearly visible in the CRM when you are looking at a contact record, but keep each individuals personal information stored separately.

  2. No need to struggle with how to label a birthday (i.e his, hers, etc) when the contact record refers to a single individual. "Birthday" is a great label as is, and you exactly know who it's for.

  3. No need to struggle with how to label phones, address, and emails.

  4. No need to struggle with how to decipher who wish list items are for.

  5. No need to struggle trying to figure out who purchased what.

  6. Significantly helps prevent spoiling of surprises planned by a significant other by a sales associate.

  7. Helps avoid the inadvertant use of credits or prepayments from one person to the other when more than one person is sharing a contact record.

  8. These advantages will continue to grow as more CRM connectivity to e-commerce is added to the app, and, as more tools are added which are designed to use the relation linking.

The below instructions will guide you on how to start using this feature.

  • From an existing contact record or while creating a new contact via the long form (back office) you will see a link labeled Link Relation

  • Clicking Link Relation will create a field.

  • Typing in this field will begin searching your contacts and organization.

  • Select the contact by clicking on your search result.

  • The field to the left of the contact can be used to label the relation.

  • Be sure to click the Save icon to save your changes.

  • Clicking on the listed relation name will bring you to that contacts record.

  • The relation will also automatically appear on the linked contacts record.

  • As noted above you can also link organizations with people.

When searching for a contact from the point of sale the search will return results for contacts with linked relations.
