The BusinessMind Desktop App utilizes a settings file located directly on the workstation computer where it stores local settings. This file can get corrupted if the computer was shutdown while BusinessMind is running. If the file is corrupted, you will receive a message when launching BusinessMind that looks similar to this.

Unrecoverable error: local storage corrupted. Please try to launch the application again.

Click okay to this message and attempt to launch BusinessMind again. If the message persists follow the below instructions.

  • Click OK to close the message.

  • Open My PC or My Computer

  • Open the C: Drive

  • Open the Users folder

  • Open the folder for the username that logs into Windows on this computer

  • Open the businessmind folder

  • Here you should see a file called localstorage

  • Delete the localstorage file

  • Close the window

  • Now Launch BusinessMind (which will generate a new localstorage)

  • After this you will be able to log in, when logged in follow the below info

You will now need to re-enable the below two settings
