To utilize your star receipt printer with the BusinessMind Web Point of Sale App you will need to create a certificate and install it into your web browser. The below instructions are directly from the Star Webprnt Manual. We highly recommend you consult with your IT team to assist you with this process.

1 - Log into the Printer Settings

Setup is performed from the printer settings screen (Web Configuration).

To access the configuration open a web browser and input the ip address of your star receipt printer.

You will then need to log in to the star receipt printer. If you have not modified the login credentials then by default

username = root

password = public

Once logged in open the printers settings screen

2 - Create a self-signed certificate

Fill in all the fields with your proper info.

Be sure to set the domain to be the ipaddress of the printer you are working with

Click the create button after filling in the fields

When certificate creation is successful, a screen appears to indicate success and recommend saving.
For now, continue to the next step without saving.

3 - Enable the printer self-signed certificate setting

4 - Save settings to printer

Now its time to Import the certificate to the web browser

The certificate that was created at the printer must be imported to the client terminal web browser. The below instructions will guide you.

1 - Log into the printer via the web browser

2 - Click on SSL/TLS

3 - Click on Create Self-Signed Certificate

4 - Use the download button to Download the certificate from the settings screen

Depending on your operating system this will vary so please download the attached PDF for help with installing the certificate on Windows and iOS systems.
