Before we proceed, please note that using the integrated card payment solution in your point of sale system eliminates the need for the 'Other Payment' dropdown list. This integration streamlines the transaction process, as the payment terminal communicates directly with the point of sale, making payments seamless. It also reduces the risk of errors by removing the need for sales associates to manually enter payment details.
If you haven't yet adopted integrated card payments, you may notice that your 'Other Payment' dropdown list has become cluttered over time, as shown in the example below.
For help organizing your list, simply email support@dcit.com and request assistance with merging similar payment types.
Once the support team works their magic, your 'Other Payment' dropdown will be cleaner and more manageable transforming your list.
Once this is complete, instruct all sales associates to use the dropdown list to select the payment type. The dropdown is now available on all payment screens, including job and layaway prepayments, through the point of sale system.
That said, the optimal solution is to switch to a supported integrated card payment system, eliminating the need for the extra steps involved with the 'Other Payment' dropdown list.
