Sometimes you may find that you need to update a large number of SKUs, for example, if you needed to make a price adjustment across all diamond jewelry. You can use the Advanced Inventory Tools - Batch Update Skus function to help you do this without having to click and edit each SKU individually.

  • From the BusinessMind Home Page click on the Invenotry link.

  • Locate the Related Resources section and choose the Advanced Inventory Tools link.

  • Locate the Batch Update Skus section.

  • From here you can click on the Need to create a batch sku update file? Use this link which will prompt you to save the template file.

  • Open this CSV file with your favorite spreadsheet editor.

  • Only ONE of the three sku, barcode, and rfcode fields are needed. Fill in the one that works for you with the info and be sure to make sure the case matches.
For example: If you are utilizing the Sku field then leave barcode and rfcode blank. If you rather use the barcode field, then leave sku and rfcode blank. Only one of these three is utilized.

  • Fill in the new price. Do not utilize dollar symbol.

  • The entire archived column should be removed when updating pricing.

  • After you have filled out your file be sure to save as a csv file as this is the only supported format.

  • To process the file click the choose file button and select your file.

  • Click the Batch Update Skus button to run the process. When finished BusinessMind will give you a results sheet informing you of the changes.

โ€‹It is important that you are careful when using this tool. It can save you a lot of work to be able to manipulate data in large batches at once this way, but it can also let you mess things up in one swift blow! Triple check your work before using!
