Finding and calculating commissions is now even easier.  The updated associate sales and returns view will now list all line items per associate.  This means you can make one easy search no matter how many associates assisted on the sale.
Using this combined with the multiple column options like line portion amount (where a sale is split among various associates) you can calculate commission information very easily.   Follow the information below on how to access and search this area.

  • From the BusinessMind home page click on the Sales link.

  • From the Sales home page you will see a section called View Associates Sale & Returns.  From here you can view and create smart sets for the commission information you are looking for.

  • The predefined smart set will get you all information but in this example we want to create a more specific and refined search.  We will choose the New Smart Set Query option.

  • From the smart set creation screen let us name the smart set for our needs. In this example I am calling it Monthly Commissions.

  • Next you can select the columns you need displayed.  I would recommend the Associate column as well as what you utilize to calculate commission like Line Portion Amount OR Line Profit Amount (or which ever amount you need to calculate your commissions).

  • You can then add your search criteria.   In this example we want to run commissions for the month of March so we will be adding a date range.  The screen shot below is a good guide fore this set up but you can fine tune it for your specific needs.  Save your smart set when completed.

  • As per the screen shot below you can see that invoices with multiple sales associates are listed multiple times (once for each associate).  You can see the Line Amount Portion calculated this split sale.  The line portion is the value that I will be using to calculate this associates commissions. This all makes it super easy to calculate once our info is downloaded into your favorite spread sheet program like Excel.

  • Once your smart set is saved and run you can use the Download option to view the data directly in your favorite spread sheet program like Excel.

  • Because each invoice will display for each associate you can quickly sort and subtotal by the associate field to get your totals then calculate any percentage needed.
